As of 2025, the City of Philadelphia is adjusting its licensing fees, affecting many types of licenses, including rental licenses. For landlords, the rental license fee will increase from $63 per unit to $69 per unit. This hike means property owners will face higher costs for compliance with City regulations.

In addition to rental licenses, several business and professional licenses will see fee increases, while others will remain unchanged. For instance, the Limited Lodging License for Short-Term Rentals will stay at $150, but the cost of Use Permits will rise from $174 to $189. These adjustments are part of the city’s updates to its fee structures.
